Talksport

If he really is pissed, somebody should be sacked for allowing him on. Yes, it might sound funny, but really it isn't funny. Not at all.

Spot on. He needs help and the first step is admitting you have a drink problem. Allowing him to go on drunk means Talksport are enabling him and allowing him to think that getting pissed up while being at work and on national radio is normal behaviour.

Discussing the appointment of a Huddersfield (3rd) fan to referee Newcastle (2nd) v Brighton (1st).

Wilkins: I'm sure the young man has got a lot of personal probity and he'll do a magnificent job.
Devil's advocate Durham: Already both the Newcastle fans and the Brighton fans are complaining. Surely they can't let this go ahead.
Wilkins: Couldn't agree with you more Adrian.

They'll have the whole show on Clips of the Week.

Somebody has to give them some material, seeing as Brazil's been on hols.

I'd agree with most on here - Wilkins has a problem and is a problem. This isn't 1990 when Best rocked up pissed on Wogan or when Oliver Reed repeatedly turned up pissed on set - then we were all naive enough to put it down to them " being bit of a lad " and laughing at them. If Talkbollox were responsible they'd have got him off air and tried to insist he gets proper help. They aren't his employers - he's a freelancer - so whilst they don't have the employers responsibility to him they do have responsibility and a duty of care to their employees and having a pissed up alcoholic around the place could end up very badly.

However no more than what one would expect from the joke of a station

This may have been discussed, but did anyone notice that Talksport had been bought by News International?

Allegedly, that's why Colin Murray resigned.
