He would struggle to break into our first 11 but with Touré and Silva getting older and De Bruyne + Gundogan not always fit, plus Nasri unlikely to come back, it couldn't hurt to have a backup AM, especially as he can play as a technical winger on either side too. Apparently he loves Swansea and that's why he's not in the top 6 as we speak, but if they got relegated there's surely no way he will stay. Outside of the top 6 he is the second best player to Lukaku now Payet is gone.

Isco is the dream, Sigurdsson could be the reality.

Isco deal is very much possible this summer.
 
No to Sigurdsson, he is at the right club and would struggle to adapt if we did sign him as he will only be a squad player.

is that sunderlands game plan though ? they aren't going to pass it out the back. id much rather give gunn a go in net, but pickford is a very talented young keeper.

I think we would use him as a central midfielder only, he doesn’t not come close to the likes of Silva or KDB as an AM or any of our wingers / front players.

We will have to move on from Yaya / F’dinho at some point but right now he would just add to the queue with the likes of Delph, F’do and Garcia all looking for game time and Gundogan still to come back in to the mix. Nasri is gone. Mooy may have more chance than Nasri of getting an opportunity in a similar position but all of these players are fighting for squad positions rather than genuine first 11 contenders

Is that the same Sigurdsson who very much couldn't get in the top 6 side of Spurs, when they weren't even very good? He's a decent player for a shit team, but doesn't offer anything like enough for the position he plays to be in a good side. Nowhere near good enough

Agreed. Everton or West Ham is about the best side I could see him fitting in to.
 
I don't know if we are in on him but Julian Brandt would be an exceptional signing for us.
