Melbourne City FC Thread

Finished 1:3 loss. Tried but down to 10 was never going to be easy.

Deserved send off and should get a pay cut just for stupidity.

Really puts a dampener on the whole weekend. Very depressing state of affairs.

Only solution off to bed.

Manchester City losing does that to me. Welcome to my world 8-(

fortunately we dont lose as much as we use to.

Back tomorrow night at home vs Newcastle Jets. We've had a good fortnight to reset and launch an assault on the final 5 games at the moment we are sitting 3rd. Sydney has all but won the Championship and Victory are 12 points clear of us. We are equal on 33 points with Brisbane and 1 point clear of Perth on 32.
It is important to finish 3rd because that is most likely going to be a playoff place for the Asian Champions League next season. It also gives you a home final in the first week of finals and in sudden death games home advantage is fundamental.
The team is almost at full strength although a major concern is Jakobsen who hasn't played since the last derby in early February.

Newcastle are an improved side and have had some big results so it won't be an easy game. Anything but a win would be disastrous. The weather has been superb the last few weeks and Saturday is forcast 32° and be mid 20s by kick off. The pitch might be a bit dodgy after 2 rugby league/union games played recently.

Quietly optimistic.

1 - 0 City at HT. Tim Cahill header. All over the Jets but final ball not good enough.
No doubt if they're typical City, they'll get hit with a sucker punch. Hope not, like.
