What the tories do very well, and always have, is make the debate about the weakest in our society being "scroungers" etc. In effect they turn the binman against the dinner lady, and do it so successfully that we end up not noticing that our public services could be properly funded if only people and corps that already have more money than they could spend were only made to pay a fair amount in tax.

However as a committed brexiteer I will struggle to vote labour this time as I believe they would overturn Brexit and that's more important in the short term.

Next GE, after full Brexit, is the time to vote labour in my opinion.

That said I'd rather die than vote conservative.

I completely disagree with you on domestic policies and will be voting Tory but you should give yourself a pat on the back for being the only left-winger, other than Corbyn, to see that Brexit is how he gets his left wing society.

Why can't the rest of your persuasion see that under a globalised capatalist union, such as the EU, you cannot get socialism in the UK?

Why can't the rest of your persuasion see that under a globalised capatalist union, such as the EU, you cannot get socialism in the UK?

Read back about 20 pages where I said in an ideal world I would have voted leave, as any decent socialist would oppose the EU as it is and the way it treats it's members outside the big 4 countries.

Unfortunately I don't trust the tories to deliver a britain that looks after it's people which is why I voted remain to keep the working time directive, maternity/paternity rights, holiday rights and rights for part time workers, all which I expect to dissapear if may gets a landslide.

The EU can get to fuck for all I care it's a trading cartel that bullies the likes of Greece, portugal and the eastern block countries to comply with some right bollocks

Exiting the EU isn't a right left thing, prenty of tories want to stay while a lot of lefties want to leave.

I consider myself a 'left-winger' but voted to Leave the EU - I am unlikely to vote for Labour this time around

And even though I voted remain for the reasons I said, if labour had been in I would have voted leave, and haven't been arsed by the result one bit, I do know some who are distraut, why is beyond me, but now we are leaving it we need a government that looks after the people, not themselves.
