Recommend me a good orthopedic mattress.

Suffered from sciatica in 92 when a withyshaw scrote stabbed a craft knife in to my lower back puncturing my sciatic nerve. Also had a pro lapsed disc when i slipped and jarred my back around 95.

Nowadays I'm lucky as my "office" job is usually a telecoms tower, and climbing these regularly alleviates the pain, especially when I climb, as when I do get back ache i use my arms to climb over(power of) legs and this sorts the pain..

Used to also work on live 440kv(440000v) pylons on the telecoms. Live induced currents(micro shocks) had me more concerned for my safety over any back pain mate. Fortunately, i no longer work on them : )

I'm off work now and the back pain is creeping in.

I think I need a good Turkish/Thai massage right now.

Have you tried working seven days a week and only sleeping 6hrs a night?
My back only gets sore when I try to lie in bed longer than 8hrs, and on the weekends when I'm sitting/lying around all day.
If your company can't afford to pay the O.T, tell them that you'll work for free.
Believe me, your back will thank you, plus, you'll save money by not having any time to spend it.

Been regularly working 7 days a week mate, long hours too including a lot of driving hours. I agree with you on 6-8 hours sleep, plenty for me.

I'm a self employed sub contractor on zero hours contract, so I work when I can as I get nowt when work dries up.

I'm having a well earned week off so my back will suffer no doubt. I'll miss. Chance of going to Wembley and Derby game as I'm going on holiday tomorrow. That said, I'd much rather be grafting mate.

Just got back from a week of lying on a lounger, on a Mexican beach and my back is killing me.
No work (no money as I'm self employed as well) this week either due to the weather.
I'm going to go out in the back garden and turn the sod over in the rain in minute so that my back doesn't seize up.

Jesus mate, I'd get yourself seen by a doctor soon, you shouldn't have to graft your tripes out 24/7
just to get relief. If all this vigorous exercise is beneficial, then although I'm no quack, it sounds like the
problem might not be too bad, but leaving it may exacerbate the problem.

Bought 2 beds in last 2 years, not cheap ones either. First was a memory foam mattress, second is a 2000 pocket sprung mattress.

A niggling dull pain in my lower back is giving me grief so I think i must need an orthopedic mattress.

Anyone have an orthopedic mattress they sleep well on ?
Given your high standards of women, it'll be a single mattress you're looking for.
