Apparently has been appointed as the new U 18's coach

Seemed to do well at the lower age groups

He scored the goal that counted against Stoke on Boxing Day. That was the one that turned it all round for us when we were languishing in the third division. We never looked back.

It's a moot point but I've always made Wiekens goal at Wrexham on Boxing Day the turning point (Stoke was a couple of days later), following on from the York defeat we were under the cosh for 45 minutes as Terry Cooke gave us the runaround, we could easily have been 2 down at HT.

Taylor was always a hard working trier but even by third tier standards he was very average.

hope is a better coach than he was a striker ;-D

Graham Taylor wasn't the greatest player who ever lived, but he was more than a decent club manager.

Conversely, great players don't necessarily make great managers. The ticket tout being a prime example.

Did this ever get confirmed? if so, who took his job as under 16's manager?

Is Mark Kennedy still with the Under 15's?

Just noticed, this was posted a couple of days back. Been moved up to head of the Womens team, no indication of who takes his place for the U18's.

Manchester City Football Club are delighted to announce Gareth Taylor has agreed a three-year deal to become the new Head Coach of Manchester City Women.

The 47-year-old has led City’s Under-18s for the past three seasons, having previously overseen the Club’s Under-16s.

Taylor succeeds Nick Cushing, who also started his coaching career in City’s Academy before spending six trophy-laden years with Manchester City Women ahead of his recent switch to New York City FC.
