So you reckon he's against Brexit because he's Greek but would be in favour if he was British? I think there's a technical name for that sort of argument.

Cobblers.

Speaking of which, i have done i small and not very scientific study of my customers, and roughly 10% are immigrants with a total spend of around £100 a week.

It's far from cobblers, it's a fairly simple concept called self interest. Yanis frequently says he sees Europe from the Greek perspective. They've tried Grexit and despite the people of Greece giving the government the mandate to leave, the European institutions wouldn't let them.

Personally I don't think we will leave. We will waste two years trying to negotiate with the EU who don't want to negotiate. You can only negotiate with people who want to negotiate and negotiationing a neat and tidy exit for Britain is not in the EU's best interests. Read the book.

Let's keep the status quo because change is hard, well done you, we all want revolution unless it's a bit of a bother
My question to him was simply about the problems caused by leaving the EU "NOW" i.e. this morning, as he had suggested. It had nothing to do with the merits or otherwise of leaving the EU ,simply the timing.
You deliberately chose to ignore this and instead went full on with your 'Citizen Smith' strawman.

Not deliberately

Can I ask the socialists on here, that are in favour of remaining in the EU, what they wish to achieve by remaining?

Are you optimistic that one day the EU will turn into a socialist utopia and ditch the international capitalist set up it has now?

It's not a loaded question, I'm keen to hear what some of you have to say.

I didn't say we need to leave "this morning". My point was that we can attempt to sort things out with the EU until the cows come home and wont make a yard of headway. You need to understand that the EU doesn't want us to leave and will do EVERYTHING it can to prevent us from leaving. Against a background where negotiation is impossible and the more we attempt to untangle things the more tangled things become, we are logically faced with only two choices. Stay and forget the whole thing or leave now.
