Hi guys, you see, I'm new. I've been reading the forum for a while and I've been encouraged to write. First to say that I am a follower of Barça and my second team is the City. Regarding Messi, many would not wonder that he will not renew and be free next season and no one would reproach him because he does not deserve this template. He is very comfortable in Catalunya, in addition his wife is very, very friendly to the wife of Luis Suarez, but I think he is reaching the limit. Rumors that Messi can leave is because he has not signed his renewal. Theoretically if he had done it, but our President shit was lying again. That is why the rumor has a lot of force because it was said that it would sign after vacation and has not yet done so. As an anecdote to say that Bartomeu often looks for the salute of Messi and this one is very cold or it rejects it. Last night I read a tweet from a Catalan journalist about a statement from your president and I wanted to ask whether it is true or not. Is this.

Back to this bullshit again...ffs

Probably nonsense.

Welcome.

Messi certainly doesn't look happy atm. He's now into the final year of his contract & can walk away next summer. Similar to the Sanchez saga would Barca be brave enough to run his contract down. I'm sure if he's unsettled & wants out City will be a likely destination.

Messi is available on a free next summer?

I'm torn with regards to Messi, he's a player I've wanted at the club for as long as it's been a viable option (since the takeover) but part of me wants to see him remain at Barça.
The reason being is he's not the player he was & is not as young as he was & my fear for him is the premier league is now too quick for him. I've no doubt he's stil 'got it' but part of me has a nagging feeling it's too late. I wanted a Messi in his prime not at the start of his decline & for the money he'd cost I'm a bit cautious if truth be told.
Saying all that... the revenue he'd bring in would be rediculous & he may just need a change of scenery to ignite that spark again & kick on from that? Like I say a truly outstanding player still, I just worry it's too late for us to buy him at the costs involved.
It's a bit like getting all giddy & excited for a holiday that's been hyped up like mad to then going & thinking 'meh' the idea of it was much better & should of remaind a dream.

I don't think for one second that he'll have the slightest problem in the Prem. But we will have to change, to accomodate him, which means someone like Silva or DeBruyne becoming spare part.

Right now we have rotation so all can play. You don't rotate Messi.

True... As much as I'd love him I'd rather go find the next younger Messi.
