Former City player convicted of fraud

Yeah, It came in the middle of Big Mal's second coming, when his nonsensical purging of Tony Books fantastic late 70's side, in order to fulfil, what I believe was, a megalomaniacal pipe dream of building a replica of the 68 championship side with a whole new set of new players. I think Mal had visions of him being the new Francis Lee, whereas, in terms of his football ability at least, he turned out to be more akin to Frances De La Tour

I remember him, I think I read that Gary Buckley who was at the club at the same time has also done time. Apologies if this is untrue.

Can we rustle up a Jailbirds XL yet?

(Barton, Ward etc)

Did well in the reserves, used to watch all the home games at the time but totally out of his depth even in our poor first team.
