For those that saw both live who was better?

Silva, but different eras and different jobs. At the time Colin ‘the King’ was the best in England.

Different players. Bell was a true box-to-box midfielder who didn't have the silky skills of Silva but could run/sprint all day, had a great passing range and regularly scored in double figures. He'd have been the key player in a Pep team.

Think a combination of Yaya, Fernandinho and Gundogan.

This, well said PB

Both Majestic, but King Col was more a box to box player and a better finisher. Blessed to have seen both

I never got to see bell but my late dad called bell the “complete” footballer, if silva could add goalscoring to his otherwise perfect game then maybe he’d be “complete” aswell??

That’s some player! Shame there is so little footage of him for us “younger ones!”
