Sterling Penalty - Wenger will face no charge for his comments.

Unfair to ask a player to do that especially just before a World Cup. International careers are shorter than club careers. To miss a World Cup as a protest for another player is a big ask

Of course it will never happen I just wish it would. The fan's give our players unfair stick anyway while ignoring the shit showing by the media darlings who escape unscathed.

Mark Saggers started last night with a jibe at Sterling. Thinks wenger was wrong on that instance but 'we all know sterling 'dives'.

So we’ve had that ginger pig call out Bernado and now the French whinger doing the same to Raheem, despite both instances being nailed on pens...
Does anyone think they’d come out with this shit if united players were involved? Not a chance.
I’m generally in favour of the club staying quiet when we get bad press, but these are professionals, not the gutter press, they really should be held to account.

Agreed. Obvious offsides are what should be called. The game would be better with a grey area of around a half yard normally going to the offense.
Don't agree.

The problem with that proposition is that it would leave it entirely up to the referee and linesmen as to whether a player is offside or not. And given their existing.biases and on occasion downright cheating, you can imagine just how bad it would get.

At the moment, they at least have to try to get it right because there's an objective measurement that can be applied as to whether someone is on or off. As soon as that is removed and players need to be "clearly off", we are in the realm of refs being free to make any biased decision they like.

Fan me with a kipper! I agree with you :-)

And here's what Appendix 5 (Manager's Code of Conduct) says:

7. A Manager shall not make public any unfair criticism of any Match Official or any
other Manager or any Player, Official or employee of his or another Club.

14. A Manager shall conduct himself at all times in an ethical and professional manner
and shall observe the highest standards of integrity and fair dealing.
Wenger might argue that it's not unfair criticism of player known on occasion to dive, to call them a known diver.

I am not supporting that viewpoint by the way, merely pointing out that the clauses above do not in themselves demonstrate that Wenger has broken any rules.

Whether he has would depend on whether his criticisms were deemed unfair or not.

Pep should be asked in his next interview what he thinks and he should state that if Wenger had any class he'd apologize to Raheem for getting it wrong about this penalty incident (as that is unquestionable once the video is seen) and that if Wenger really believes that Sterling is a serial diver (which he isn't) then he should keep his opinion to himself as any manager should as it's grossly unprofessional to share such opinions.
We should have Sterling sat next to Pep and let Sterling say, "frankly I am not bothered by what a specialist in failure says or thinks".

:-) there goes my moral high ground approach but maybe it's worth it.

If there was one player diving around like a tart at every opportunity on Sunday it was actually Monreal - every time any one went near him he was off the ground doing a half pike with tuck!

This is the problem with leaving stuff like this unchecked. It becomes fact after a while.

I know the club have put out a few stories about how annoyed they are with Wengers comments but for me those comments will cost us legitimate penalties in the next few months of we don't push back a bit harder.

Oh, and MSIAC.
