desert island drinks

Belgian Rodenbach Grand Cru (an acquired taste for discerning drinkers)- a red, sourish beer

Bamberg Rauchbier (e.g. Echt Schlenkerla) - smoky, as the name implies

And a gorgeous pint I had at the M/cr Winter Ales Festival a few years ago - Old Stoatwobbler. Not seen it since, alas.

You can tell I am well-travelled, with a sophisticated palate

I've had that. On the menu it describes it as "liquid ham".

Yes, good description, as long as it's smoked ham.
I wish someone could tell me where it's available over here (i.e.Cheshire area). Tesco used to stock it in bottled form, but my local Tesco has stopped doing so.
It must be somewhere?

No idea mate. I didn't know that it was sold anywhere other than where it's brewed.
They were brewing a batch the day that went there. I just followed my nose.

A little research and it turns out I can buy it at the liquor store over here.

Looks like you can get it online.
