The Bee Jees????
Absolutely nothing but the OP mentioned that they are one of his favourite bands
Ok.Proper New Order fans never liked Depeche Mode. Only weird black-wearing American kids liked both bands, and turned up at New Order gigs in the States only to moan about bum notes, no encores and little audience reaction.
So, the best guitarist in a tribute band should be a new sub-section.I thought Burgess was actually born in Manchester but his family moved to Northwich. Mark Collins is definitely from Manchester (I know he was not the original guitarist but hes been the driving force along with Burgess since the early 90's).
Reading through this list today and wondered what people think. i am not going to argue with the no 1 as along with Depeche Mode they are my favorite band.
Yet what gets me is the fact that when ever these lists are compiled, Puressence are missing from them. They were a far better band than most of the ones on this list. Along with the Chameleons, they seem to be totally forgotten about for some strange reason.
Anyway here is the list

Yes Mark was in The Waltones, great bandI thought Burgess was actually born in Manchester but his family moved to Northwich. Mark Collins is definitely from Manchester (I know he was not the original guitarist but hes been the driving force along with Burgess since the early 90's).
The Beatles recorded in Abbey Road studios in London, that didn't make them a Cockney band! They did record at the Strawberry recording studios next to Robbies brewery....surely that's close enough
