The presenter (Robbie) is wrong. His assertion that "you can't hide behind the owner, Wenger chose the team" shows willful ignorance or worse lack of understanding. Wenger is such a known quantity that you can easily assume what he will have done in a given match. So to blame it at Wenger is just short sighted. Kroenke is the man and his man is Wenger. They are one and the same in many ways so should be equally held accountable. If Wenger was there to make a decision then that is on Kroenke.

Wenger was on 7+mil a year 3 or so seasons ago i think so i doubt he is paid in peanuts. They have a lovely arrangement between the two and both get nice and rich from it. If Wenger really did go to bed kissing the Arsenal badge he would have made some form of protest about Kroenke's business model a long time ago knowing it is a huge limiting factor in recruiting a solid squad.

Arsenal fans are pissed off but not as much as they should be. They were essentially asked to accept stepping down from the very top in order to build a solid future at the top further down the line. They all bought that but the austerity has continued with Kroenke not giving a shit. I think all content arsenal fans that are old enough to remember the lat 90's and early 00's are foolish.
It's the same old stuff
To get from where Arsenal are now to properly challenging it'd cost hundreds of millions and the owner/shareholders aren't interested so long as its a cash machine
What Arsenal fans need to do is stop going

Wenger just been interviewd. Apparently it was Raheem's fault. He was watching at home and his ESP influenced the referee. How is poor Arsene meant to compete with such outrageous behaviour?

Apparently he was channeling the spirit of Cloughie! Weird clanking, and chinking sounds of used whiskey bottles could be heard down the corridor, outside Arsenal's dressing room....

Perhaps that was what Maureen mistook for loud music if the GPC was making a quick exit after the derby.

From an Arsenal forum

The most frightening thing about the direction of this club is how much further away from the top than we've ever been in my lifetime. It's not the fact we're shite - which we are. Or that we're playing the worst football we've played in 2 decades-which we are.

It's that the chasm that exists between us and Europe's big boys is wider than ever despite the fact we're spending more on transfers than ever and have a £200m wage bill for a squad that will be no better than Southampton's when Alexis leaves us. We moved away from Highbury to enable us compete with the giants of Europe. It's actually pretty funny when you remember that.

What is scary is how much worse things could turn out for us. There's every possibility of replicating the mid-table struggles of the likes of post-Benitez Liverpool or the Milan giants. With the kind of inflation that exists in the current market, it would take massive investment in replacing Alexis, Ozil and Cazorla just to be competitive in the top 4 (anyone still dreaming of us finishing in the top 4 this season is having a laugh).

Adding to the financial challenge is the fact we have no players of value to offload. There's a lot of worthless deadwood.who we could offer for free and clubs would STILL turn them down due to their absurd wages. We have by a pretty large margin, the least valuable squad of players in the top 6. Adding to the hilarity is our most valuable players are leaving on a free.

If Wenger rid us of his incompetence and a new manager came in, I think people underestimate just how deep the rot is for a new man to clean up. Everything from our squad, to our academy (also the worst in the top 6) would need a massive overhaul. How the hell did it get to this after our move to the Emirates was supposed to take us to a new era ?
