City v Bristol City 1st leg post match

We won and we will win the next leg too.
Its simple as that.
If FERNO doesn't play then the others can't do there majic in the same manner.

In the first half Bernardo had a great chance with his right foot. It was embarrassing what he did.

How can someone so gifted have such a poor right foot. I have never ever seen anything like it.
It was like a kid at school in PE who hates football and can’t play it as they aren’t coordinated.

He literally just swung his right leg at it as hard as he could and completely mis-hit it due to his lack of composure and control in the situation.

He should spend an hour a day shooting with his right foot in training. Leroy Sane can join him in extra training and try and improve his control of a football too.

Referee I felt was giving a lot of things to Bristol City 1st half. The 50/50 decisions were going their way. Then the 2nd half I felt he was giving you more.

Those reviews on last night were spot on. A lot of the players are much better than that I will say. Stones has been great up until the last two games, as has gundogan and Sterling up until last night.

Mangala should never play again unless it’s a dead rubber, he puts us under needless pressure.

Bravo is a bit of a funny one for me, I agree with Carragher that his distribution isn’t that great, it’s just he’s got balls of steel so is willing to play it out the Pep way. Good pass for De Bruyne but he’s nowhere near Ederson in any department (maybe other than penalty shoot outs which he seems to be a specialist at).

As a side note the Bristol City fans were probably the most obnoxious I’ve seen at City this season. Loads of United jibes at us and “where were you when you were shit” chants, which I suppose a lot sing, but considering they’ve not taken 8,000 away ever it’s ironic.

This isn’t a surprise I’ve met a handful of “Bristol City” fans before and every single one has told me United are their second team.

Hopefully we crush them 2nd leg with a first team.
 
Bristol C should get the credit for not setting up like a brick wall but, in reality, they weren't as great as the papers are making out, we were presented with numerous very good chances that we fluffed ON TOP of 2 goals scored (B.Silva right foot then later left foot, Sane x 2, sterling off line, sterling close range, and more).

in reality, some of our attackers let us down a bit. Mangala can still defend, he is great in the air, but his time at City looks to be drawing to a close as he clearly is not suited to a ball playing team. Bravo for me was fine, gets a lot of pelters, but i have to admit he doesn't ooze confidence and i dont personally agree with keeper rotation for the sake of it.

Bravo shirks responsibility. He will get rid to a blue who obviously is in no place to receive. Rather than risk being mugged himself. The old "anywhere will do " method.
Think last home cup game v Burnley . Gave it to left back who had nowhere to go so he got it back and gave it straight back ! Knocking it for a corner , Burnley almost scored. The ball on was stone to right in space.
Again last night Bravo just wanted shot so he was in clear and truly stitched up young zinchenko.......I thought senior players were supposed to protect and help the young........
 
I hope they get promoted. The prem will be a lot better with the likes of them and wolves instead of the busses down the bottom.

Will be a tough second leg, i feel we need to score early and nullify the away goal. This will calm nerves.

I think we may see a stronger team second leg, and we know what to expect.

Do we know ref btw?

A lot of their fans are like that.

I don't know if you know about it but they bought our star striker Matty Taylor for £300k (we got him on a free). Basically we had just had 2 promotions and were doing well last season. Matty Taylor and Lee Johnson have the same agents and they found out about a £300k release clause in his contract and waited until the last day of the window to poach him from us. As much to stop us from progressing as them wanting him. They then paraded the signing over facebook with a facebook live on their social media pages with Matty Taylor - #WelcomeToBristol splashed everywhere and their coaches goading us on social media about it.

The club and their fanbase is so lacking in class off the pitch. Credit where it is due on it at the moment though.
