Sunderland in the Championship 2017/2018

Well done, mate. Things finally seem to be on the up.

And you’ve avoided a record none of you wanted.

Onwards and upwards, Mackems.

By the way, it’s fucking freezing here at Etihad!

Cheers fella....nice and warm in my gaff, where I have a houseful of Sunderland & City fans celebrating, but now cautiously awaiting your kick off.

Good luck

So, we are odds on to get a second relegation in a row, I honestly can't see how it can be stopped.

On getting home tonight, I inform my lads (13 & 8), I've got tickets in the away end v Bolton (20th Feb) at the Macron.
They are hyper, already discussing which Sunderland top they will wear etc.....imagine if we score in the last minute to win? It'll be class, Sunderland fans are crazy? Etc etc. It's the excitement I used to feel when my dad told me we were going to Roker Park...it doesn't go away.
My mate and his kid (blues fans) are also attending for the first time with us (well why would they watch us haha?)

Poor buggers, wish the team was better for them, although I can't help but have a tinge of pride that they are still loyal to an apocalyptic cause.... especially as the eldest was 1 when we moved away, and the youngest was born in Stockport....

Come on team....give the lads, and I, a little bit of hope to hang on to.... in the meantime lads....keep hoping and dreaming for that miracle on the 20th Feb :-)

On behalf of the USA I apologize for what your shite owner has done to your club.

Best of luck, mate.

I really hope you can get out of the mess you’re in.

Feel for you mate, we went down to where you are heading when my lad was roughly the same age.......it makes the good times that much better and aren't half character forming for the kids.

Keep the faith it'll turn round eventually.

You'll batter those wankers mate and things will turn around sooner or later. Chin up.

My 2, neither born anywhere near Manchester, they both started watching us in the mid 90's, when relegation seemed a once every 2 year event. They have been home and away in league 1 (as it is now), and up and down the country, without ever living near Manchester (well my son lives there now). They're now around the 30 mark, and have never wavered, and look at what we are watching now, so you never know where the journey will take them.

Feel sorry for Sunderland fans. They support an absolute basket case of a club. A shame because the fans, based on my experience, are a cracking bunch.

Along with Hammers fans, I cannot think of a better set of fans to be around pre and post game.
