Surely I'm the only one whos avoided most of the media outlets after winning the league?

All I've heard from people watching Sky or the BBC and having to reference our charges.

What should be a great time for us as fans and we get bombarded with hate
First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

That's true but Richard Masters knew what he was getting into when he was personally vetted by Directors of LFC and MUFC for the job. What I would really like to know is why the two previous candidates accepted the job but then declined to take it up. One of them (Richard Pemsel) backed out after being the victim of a story about his private life leaked to the tabloids. The initial successful candidate (Susanna Dinnage) has never made clear why she pulled out. I wonder if she was worried about interference from certain clubs making the job an impossible task.
If we had a proper press in this country they would be asking why Masters was parachuted in for the role before he pushed for the Super League proposals. The robust line of questioning Masters was given by the Sports Minister at the recent Select Committe suggests that senior Government figures (and some in the Opposition) clearly smell a rat.
Or know a rat when they see one.

I've just watched this, I know it is The Athletic and people here generally don't like Sam Lee, but I think he's been very correct in giving his journalistic opinion about those stupid PL charges and how they are debated on social media in particular. Chappy as a moderator doesn't stir shit up, but this other fella, I have no clue who he is, is just not having it and we are already guilty in his book.

Another angle I would like to explore on city being state owned or "state run' seems to be the latest term is how is this control and management actually achieved. E g Are powers delegated to Sheikh Mansour, does he have to reger certain decisions to them, do the state approve appointments, spending etc .? Of course they don't . There maybe other specialists in this who know exactly what controls there would be in place but I know enough to know there would be a lot of controlling documents in place if we were state run.
Just wanted to flag up how much shit they talk that we are state run/owned but no idea probably never even crossed their minds this would need an actual governing constitution.
I like the idea of being state owned. Makes me want to apply for dual citizenship.
