There’s players 23 years of age.

I could understand the f you’d turned 21 but surely 23 makes you too old.

It's within the rules and it's very logical to call up players who are soon to be too old for the U21s and give them a taste of tournament football before they potentially join the senior side. England used to call up its brightest youngsters just to sit on the bench, but there's more coordination between the age groups now. Jones and Gibbs-White would possibly have been in the full England squad but rightly, they've left them to the U21 tournament rather than given them 5 minutes against Moldova.

Pathetic that our lads have been called up by waistcoat. But he wont have a clue what is like to win and celebrate.

Southgate has to have our lads there so he can get peps coaching info of them the mans a clown a lap dog! Rashford tells him he can’t be arsed fucks of to New York then recalls him now!

Did you see Rashford's press conference?

Must have been his PR team asking the questions. Glossed over his trip to New York and emphasised "his commitment" to Engerland*

*As in crying off most of the qualifiers and trying to grab the glory at the finals tournament.

They have the daily video of all the players arriving & a big fuss made of Rice being a European champ. I thought fuckin hell wait until the treble winning quintet turn up…..

Checked the video today, a moment where 5 stood together, no congratulations or cheers or anything.
