So annoying that we couldn't hang on for the win against them, plus the three other games we conceded late goals. We'd be 7 points clear of them now.

A title race with Liverpool it is.

Looking good, no question, but if people were writing off our title chances two or three weeks ago — and astoundingly, they were — and they were patently ridiculous because it was such early days, well, it's still early days. We win everything in the league between now and the end of January, including Burnley, I think we'll have a somewhat clearer idea. We still have to go to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Anfield. Conversely, Arsenal and Villa still have to come to the Etihad.
I note that Son will be missing, and Salah will be missing, for a slice of January. I also note that we have Kev, the Viking, and Doku waiting in the wings. The barometer is set to fair. Let's keep this ship steady as she goes.

To be fair and logical every team in every game get chances to score it would be strange if they didn’t

Possibly, although we were restricting those chances a lot more last season.
