Factual Old-school City Myths that are untrue

Further to my last post, it may be that ..

1.Martyn Margetson was subbed at half time at home to Everton in 1993 because he was so bad may be a myth, since Reid had deliberately (for the only time that season) put a goalie on the bench and perhaps had planned to give MM and Dibble half a game each (talk about a Hobson's choice!).

So - that might need to be added to other definite City myths :

2. Simon Tracey was terrible in the 0-5 vs Man U (he did OK and was not at fault for any of the goals)

3. David Brightwell was destroyed in that same game by Andrei Kanschelskis (he (DB) wasn't even playing).

Any others?

Not sure about that, I remember going nuts at him during that game thinking he was the worst player who ever lived.

Should have come out for the first

Second was unlucky deflection

Third I have no idea what he was doing

Fourth probably could have done better

Fifth he stayed on his line again then couldn't move himself quick enough

Bit harsh - he does look a bit "indecisive" though!

Damn that was depressing to watch.
Probably found it enjoyable to be fair as a child :D

Just gonna go on YT now and watch the 6-1

Paul Moulden was not shagging Machin's daughter.

As for Tracey, I have seen the footage not so long ago - he stopped 4 of the five goals at the first attempt and was beaten on the rebound.... where was the defence to help him out? I feel it is a harsh to blame him alone.
