And now we have 48 teams in the finals, was once 16.
There are new stadiums worldwide, and FIFA, EUFA, FA have to stage games to make them pay.
I honestly do not understand how anyone can be bothered to watch us knock over San Marino. Or Luxembourg, or whoever. The whole thing is just totally tedious.
Tells you everything when you see the likes of Scholes, Milner and others retiring at their peak. International football has become more of an irritation than an event.

It'd be more interesting if we had the bottom teams who don't qualify playing off so only 25% of the San Marino/Fiji etc get into the actual qualifying competition across the world.

That way groups would be smaller and deract less from the important stuff, league football.

Fifa do it again. What a fucking joke. Another Fifa cash grab with predicted revenue increasing to £5.29 billion. Then they try to pass it off saying this will "help develop football in those countries". Yeah cos watching Brazil dick Burkina Faso 20-0 is really gonna help them develop.

Have there been many 20-0 games in the qualifiers? Probably not, so why should they occur in the finals?
