Love the CL but not too fussed about going out. When you play a team like RM you're not always going to win. So better to draw them early, go out, and keep legs fresher for the PL run-in.

Can't really gripe at going out of the CL quarter* finals against Madrid on penalties. They defended well, we struggled to create good chances. Am a bit concerned about tired legs for the FA cup, but the upside is fewer fixtures in the PL run-in. Edit

I didn't think he had a terrible game. Worked hard as always, recycled the ball well. Wasn't that dangerous? Well, Real Madrid defended well. Plenty of our players weren't that dangerous. Stupid penalty but then penalties are stupid. If the keeper had dived, no one would be complaining.
