Re: Agger Bid
I find it funny if he has turned us down. It shows how much ambition to win things he has. Then again those average players linked may push them on!
I can't say that I follow the german league to be honest so I couldn't make an accurate assessment of his form but he used to have all sorts of clubs after him.
Is he better than Agger? Cheaper?
The funny thing about the rags is that they have no ammunition to throw at us anymore apart from that they have won the league nineteen times compared to our three times which really doesn't bother me in the slightest considering what ammunition they used to be able to throw at us.
Apparently Liverpool and Chelsea are interested.
I think it's really unprofessional not to monitor the contract circumstances of their players or negotiate renewal prior to them only having 12 months remaining.
It has led to them losing Nasri and will also lead them losing Robin Van Persie...
Needs to bulk up a bit but he is naturally a very good reader of the game which aids his positional sense. Training alongside the senior defenders within the squad can only be good for his development.
In addition, they have a stadium to pay for.
If any other manager went seven years without winning something at a top four club then they would be sacked. Why should Arsene Wenger be any different?
I think that the club need to show more respect towards the older generation who have supported this club for many years and shown a great deal of loyalty throughout times where we have been in considerably worse circumstances than our current one.
Where is the reward for sticking by their club...
I have never purchased a goalkeepers shirt in my time supporting this club but when I entered JJB I immediately fell in love with this design. I think it is a credit to the umbro designers and I love the variation of the badge aswell.
I can imagine that many will criticise it but I consider it...
I don't mind waiting. I would still be confident of us retaining our premier league title if we entered the new season with our current squad personally. They have done it before and I would have full faith in their ability to replicate their achievement.
It bears no positive impact on the FFP regulations though. It would be beneficial for us to request a higher fee for Carlos if we are to be perceived as having a willingness to comply with the new rules imposed by UEFA.
Re: Adebayor
Johnson going to Tottenham would concern me personally. They are a team that play with width and he would thrive in that team as they play to his strengths. Because we play a passing game and don't really use direct wingers as such it limits the impact that he can have and forfiets...
I have just considered the signing of Robin Van Persie in another context.
Basically we would be weakening Arsenal who could have potentially became a rival given the additions they have made to their team and adding the player that has led them to Champions League places single-handedly...
Arsenal simply will not allow Van Persie to run down his contract because they would forfiet a considerable sum of money in the process. I think that Arsenal anticipating and were hoping for a bidding war to begin as soon as his availability became public knowledge thus reducing his price...
