Who knows ? That could well be the “exit strategy”, I’m pretty well convinced that something’s happening - and it’s positive for the blues !

Of course it’s perfectly possible for the parties to be working towards an agreed exit strategy and the charges and planned hearing remain current in the meantime. Charges would always only be “dropped” by a formal announcement.
