Don't know about that, as far as I recall Madrid and Barca dominated the team of the year and the shortlist in the year that Bayern beat Dortmund in the final. It's more about favoured players getting automatic picks than what they've actually done these days unfortunately.The best player in Europe has to win something for me... So until that Champs League is won, we'll have to wait. Closed shop with Ronaldo and Messi yes, because their recent Euro trophy haul and scoring record matches it. Every top 3 player nominated looks to have won the Champs League as far as I can see..
