City v Utd post match

I did respond to that. I highlighted how you'd used an awful performance from united to praise our performance and I asked you whether you could think of any worst performance from us in our derby in recent years and you didn't answer.

I thought we were dogshite tonight because our passing was sloppy, we created very little, we moved the ball too slowly and lacked penetration. We lacked passion and drive, had little idea of how to break down their defence and at times looked nervous. It was really only in the last 10 mins after their red card that we seemed to have any urgency. Hope that's clear enough.

Do you still think we were an embarrassment to the Manchester derby ? The reason I didn't answer your stupid question about a worse derby performance in recent years is because you only have to go back to October. Hope that's clear enough for you. Good night you easily embarrassed pettle.

Looked pretty full to me from my seat. Not surprised there were a few empty seats in the Family Stand though, with it being a rearranged midweek game. Plus a few long distance Blues might've given it a swerve too for the same reason. Not sure why they didn't sell their tickets though, but not really arsed either way.

Well at least we don't have to talk about the ref after this game, neither side has much to grumble about on the officiating in that match... it's kind of refreshing. :)

October in the league cup?! Are you serious? I was more proud of our B team losing to them at OT than our boys tonight. Yes I think both teams tonight were an embarrassment to the derby, that wasn't a derby in my eyes.

I think we just needed a deflection, a break of the ball, a long shot, goal from a set-piece. Given our dominance the odds of something like that happening are decent, just didn't fall that way. They defended so deep and in so many numbers, you need to be Messi to dribble through. Again we weren't at our best, not arguing we were amazing, but i don't think it was poor either. Sterling and especially Sane's movement wasn't good enough, Aguero had a bunch of half chances and you'd expect him to take one at least, but better teams that ourselves have struggled to break teams down like that. We're not talking about Middlesbrough either, they have good, experienced players and a manager who specialises in this type of performance. To win that kind of match is one of the hardest things in football.

Agree we miss Silva and have no-one else like him, but we still created enough openings to score, and with the first goal it changes the whole game.

i think i meant poor by our standards.....we completely dominated them in all areas but our creative players (KDB, sane and sterling) have all been lacking since silva went off in the semi final....kdb worries me as he looks like he is way short of the player we know he can be...i don't think he would be playing if both silva and Ilky were fit or he would at least be having to battle it out for a place on the wing
