The ride we longserving fans ('68 for me) has been phenomenal.
In some ways the 93:20 moment has soured it for me, in the nicest possible way. That moment in my eyes can never ever be surpassed, the bar was set too high too soon. That said, our football at times, even this season has been breathtaking.
However, when I am genuinely more pleased about is the investment the owners are putting into the City, they really are breathing life into the more deprived parts of the City and for that I'm ever grateful - even though I don't live there, it just makes me feel proud.
Sadly the commercialisation and the corruptness of UEFA -I despise the CL and couldn't care less if we never played in it again - has meant my loyalty has been challenged. I've given up my season card and I'm more selective about which games I go to. The commercialisation has meant I've even ditched Sky, I think I've grown up a bit and can see the fame for what it is as opposed to what it aspires to be.
Still it's great to know City are at the forefront of English football.
Here's a thought though - is it really Manchester City anymore? That's not a critcsism as the club has moved with the times, it had no choice other that to do that and thanks our Sheik we've done it brilliantly and gracefully, and what's more it's pissed everyone else off, including Sky.
So it's been.... good for me!
