How's it been for you?

The ride we longserving fans ('68 for me) has been phenomenal.

In some ways the 93:20 moment has soured it for me, in the nicest possible way. That moment in my eyes can never ever be surpassed, the bar was set too high too soon. That said, our football at times, even this season has been breathtaking.

However, when I am genuinely more pleased about is the investment the owners are putting into the City, they really are breathing life into the more deprived parts of the City and for that I'm ever grateful - even though I don't live there, it just makes me feel proud.

Sadly the commercialisation and the corruptness of UEFA -I despise the CL and couldn't care less if we never played in it again - has meant my loyalty has been challenged. I've given up my season card and I'm more selective about which games I go to. The commercialisation has meant I've even ditched Sky, I think I've grown up a bit and can see the fame for what it is as opposed to what it aspires to be.

Still it's great to know City are at the forefront of English football.

Here's a thought though - is it really Manchester City anymore? That's not a critcsism as the club has moved with the times, it had no choice other that to do that and thanks our Sheik we've done it brilliantly and gracefully, and what's more it's pissed everyone else off, including Sky.

So it's been.... good for me!

obviously it great, its only when you see players of the calibre we now have that you realise how shit we were. it was no wonder we went all those years winning nothing.

I must say though that considering our now status we could and should have had more silverware. all our own doing that we haven't. i think the club know this and will proper up the ante now from top to bottom.

Hasn't got any less stressful which is the surprising part
Absolutely, that has completely shocked me. I always assumed supporting teams at the top would be a breeze but while there are obviously more highs, I seem to find myself having a more regular flow of football related angst. Or maybe I've just forgotten how stressful getting beaten by bury and Stockport used to be?

It's been great.

I sort of understand some Blues point about commercialism but we would have been more commercial under Swales had we been successful. The rags have always been about commercialism after all. Also, Franny bought us because he could see big TV deals coming in the future with a Premier League.

Good to see top players play for us and beat other teams but it is a bit different feeling when we win a game. I used to be over the moon for whole week for any win and yell my lung out any goal. Now I not feel much exited for a goal and win because we expected to, just feeling released with the win. But I love to be here where we are now than where we were.

Been following since about '04. Buyouts have happened in the past, but City changed the landscape across the world with how they have done it. If it hadn't of been us it would have been someone else, so it's interesting to have played the major role in it. In all the chaos and players coming and going, people like Kompany, Zaba, De Jong & Micah, and off the field, Sharon, Chappy and Buzzer have made it easy to see the heart still in the club.

I too have just watch football across the world become more sterile and one sided, but am still enjoying it, so I will always be around and enjoy it even though life has gotten crazy with two little ones in my life now.

Never thought we would be the top team in Manchester let alone one of the best in country and be in amongst Europes elite.
The players we have been privileged to watch has been a real joy especially to those of us that suffered Pearces last season.
I think some fans have not found it easy adjusting to our new found status and all it entails, particularly commercialisation and becoming a customer instead of a fan but that is a small price to pay.
Many of the grumbles being made now remind me of what the rags were winging about many years ago, which included season card holders being randomly moved and moaning about the manager when they had one of the best ever.
The whole experience has been beyond my wildest dreams and I have loved every minute of it apart from very anti City officiating.

On the whole very good although I feel the club has significantly underachieved considering the spending. Also the 'match day experience' is getting worse every season, its more like going to disney land than a football match. Probably all worth it though being the top dogs in Manchester.

Since the takeover?

For me, it's been the most incredible experience. Enjoyed virtually every moment. I never dreamt being a City fan could be so much fun!

Have you had a good time?
I have yes.

So that's about seven of us according to the general view on this forum.
