If there are any "best" things, that is. Well, not having to worry about getting a job any more. Not trying to get on the housing ladder now I've got a house. Having learnt to spell properly, use correct grammar and use my 12-times table (rote learning is out now, I gather). Not giving a toss what other people think about me, or having to dress in a "cool" way. Having lived a life largely free from fear of terrorist atrocities - until comparatively recently.

One of the worst things is knowing that I probably won't live long enough to see City totally dominate the world of football. Or feeling a bit of pain and wondering if it's the grim reaper coming up the front path. I'm probably not a babe magnet now, but that does save a lot of trouble.

Best - greater wisdom and understanding of myself.
Worst - the nagging feeling that i could have done more and have wasted too much time.

Best - brought two model citizens into this world who delight me more day by day. Owning my own house. Knowing that I have done quite well with modest talent.

Worst - losing my mum. Recognising with the benefit of hindsight where I should have done a couple of things differently. Understanding that all the fun love and learning will come to an end and that with each passing day that end gets nearer

Well the best thing is the wisdom that comes with age. Unfortunately that is also the worst thing
