The country voted for brexit and corbyn has already accepted what that mtioneans so you are mistaken.

This general election has defeated the hard brexit mandate. The outcome of any deal will now at least have to be voted on by parliament.

Don't mind admitting I called that wrong. Didn't think you could buy so many student votes and the Tory manifesto + May was a disaster. But when you look at the vote share the tories didn't lose votes it was the appeal of labour that made the difference.

A great picture from last night

What would the Tories have to do to scupper a deal with the DUP?

To scupper it? Insist on a hard brexit and a physical border between NI/ROI is about the only thing. The DUP will be desperate not to see Corbyn in power, given his long standing friendship with Sinn Fein/IRA and his seeming nonchalance over the Union.

It will be interesting to see whether the DUP's increased prominence and influence will compel Sinn Fein to take its seats in Westminster.

Mate, there's more chance of Phil Jones winning Ballon D'Or than Sinn Fein swearing loyalty to the Queen. They've already long since ruled it out.
