Current weather started me thinking about my first pint. Mine was a pint of Dutton's bitter, enjoyed in a pub somewhere on the A6 on the way to Blackpool. From memory it was quite a pale coloured bitter, liveley and refreshing. Many of the beers we started on are no longer available so do you remember yours? If it was Watney's Red Barrel think again because it wasn't beer.

Boddingtons, aged 15. We tried to make ourselves seem older in the pub by putting on mock old man Yorkshire accents and talking about plastering jobs we had. God knows how we managed to get served

Stella (!) in a Weatherspoons in Luton 1998 when we went to watch city vs Luton down there. Can't remember the score of the match but I was bongoed off 3 pints.

Guiness, it scared me for years afterwards.

I can remember the bar man smirking when i ordered it.

It was 1968, a pint of Hartley's Bitter in the Albert, Bowness on Windermere, cost me 1s/7d (around 8p)
