Mourinho accused of tax fraud

reported today that it's come from the Spanish authorities thinking inaccurate info was given when settling a 1.2M fine he paid a few years back, and now they want more.

Ah, to the Dedicated One.
I watched an hour show some time ago about Ray and he claimed that the hit Waterloo Sunset was originally about the Merseysound, but later he changed the lyrics to fit Walerloo.
Sorry for the sidetrack to the thread, but this song deserves it. I heard similar, that the original lyrics were based around the Waterloo suburb of Liverpool, on the lazy old Mersey, gateway to the Mersey sound etc.

Back on topic, can he blame the medical team?

Isn't Modric up on a tax charge too? What a club...

Modric is perjury

This is the same vile creature that forced Frisk out of the game, gouged another coaches eye from behind, publicly humiliated his own female employee, has bought the game into disrepute on a regularly basis & now the wiff of tax fraud. A rag through & through.

Fits the rags remit through and through. Some rags don't like him at all, that said they don't attend games today and haven't attended since the last century.

They are awful to watch and an extremely expensively assembled side to have with the footballing intentions of West Brom or Crystal Palace. They'd do as well or even better with Pulis or Allardyce in charge. At least those two would feel they have something to prove without a back log of trophies.

The Times alleges that Mourinho has evaded £10m of tax in the UK as well and goes into some detail. Calls by an MP for him to be investigated as well:

Meg Hillier MP, the recent chairwoman of the public accounts select committee, believes the 54-year-old former Chelsea boss should also be investigated in the UK to see if there is evidence of any wrongdoing here.

Hillier told The Sunday Times: 'Given the clear progress from the Spanish authorities, it's vital that HMRC is taking the same level of interest.'

The newspaper alleges that Mourinho has avoided paying tax on £10m in image rights earnings, built up during his first spell in charge of Chelsea from 2004-07 and then at Madrid, through a series of offshore companies.

Money from the UK and Spain was transferred to Ireland and then to a shell company in the British Virgin Islands called Koper Services which is actually owned by a New Zealand trust set up by Mourinho, it claims.

Prosecutors for Madrid's economic crime unit alleged last week that Mourinho used Koper to fabricate more than £1m in tax deductible business expenses to reduce his tax bill in Spain.
