Yes that would work. The Pavilion line has positive reviews for several years.

HP software is awful, though. Either go through all the bloatware and turn it all off, or do a clean install before you start using it.

Just for office work get a cheap brand like a Lenovo for £200.

All you techno wizards baffle me, in a wide eyed wonderment way, with the computer knowledge you
so eloquently impart. I'm currently using an HP whatever, that cost £129, 12 months ago, it delivers everything I
require admirably, but then my needs are frugal, porn, snide footy and this place, so no worries.
This technical stuff is fascinating though.

yes they are but that thing will last forever. If you want a good looking laptop then I'm sure Acer make some beautiful looking pieces of plastic crap that will fall apart within 2 years

I have a Lenovo thinkpad from work, what a load of rubbish it is, usb ports broken keeps going bluescreen and weighs a ton. Keyboard feels solid though.

Funnily enough in the market for something similar. My mate recommended this: (spec wise, excellent with i5 and SSD).

You can install windows hello facial recognition on any windows 10 laptop with a camera can't you?
