Who is of an age where, 'real chips' were just, chips?

For me Yorkshire does the best chippy chips, and the best fish too, cooked in beef dripping. My mum always
used lard, which is pig fat, and this is good too, the oils everyone uses nowadays, sunflower, vegetable etc;
are not the same imo.
