That's offside mate.

The Madrid player can see a United player is offside so holds his line based on him being off. He's interfering with play whether he likes it or not.

Question.

Those old enough to remember.

(£500mill later)

Are United the New Crazy Gang?

Doubt it. The crazy gang were a bunch of thugs playing the only way they know how. Creating great team spirit. United actually have some very good players who will soon grow tired of this hoofball, then any team spirit will dissolve and PEG will combust like normal.

there's plenty you can have a go at the officials for in football, this is not one of those times. correct decision, onside.

If the Madrid player are holding that line on the assumption that lad is offside
that's not offside if he is not part of the play.

If the Madrid player has stepped up enough based on him being in an offside position, he's interfering, therefore offside.

It's a horrible grey area thing, but that defender is probably stood there based on him.

The player standing offside would only become active if he went for the ball, or the ball went to him.

Perfectly good reffing there.

He fucking scored how did he "not go for the ball" from the resulting keeper gaffe, its the same play, nobody subsequently passed it anywhere?
Got to be off imo

Can we get a ref's opinion anyone?

Experts claiming Matic is the final piece in the jigsaw.

From what i have seen of him he is just a journeyman midfielder and nothing special.

I read a headline this morning wishing Bale to join united as he was "the final piece of the jigsaw"

Seemingly a big lumpy jigsaw they're trying to build at the swamp
