Hoff's gameplan was sound- get the ball wide and cross it in because Liverpool are bad at defending crosses. But in reality Hoffenheim have no players with the quality to put a good cross in, and Sandro Wagner has been dreadful anyway.

I actually like that we rarely do Italian or Mourinho style "game management" where we will allow the opposition to outplay us for long periods of a match as Liverpool have(or is that just an excuse since they have been outplayed a lot? They really have in the middle of the pitch, their play has been better, attacking smaller spaces) just to wait for little glimpses of a chance to break... we always set about to attack and make our own chances and we aren't bad at all on the counter when we have the chance.
