Just some context, the league cup semi 2 seasons ago was declared at over 50000, a 1000 odd more than last night, despite the 3rd tier of the Colin bell stand only being a 1/3rd full that night, 2 weeks ago only 400/500 tickets remained

No evidence to support that, they built the south stand extension first with cheap season tickets, now they have done the tunnel club, within the next year or two they will probably build the north stand extension with cheap season tickets. It's pretty obvious they want both.
