Why would he when he can walk for free next summer? there won't be a clause that he can leave in jan so whats the point?

But Arsenal didn't say no they said yes then backed out. The point is Arsenal will now get nothing for him and there is no certainty as to how committed he will be to them over this season. Which team would he want to win if us and Arsenal met in the last game of the season and we were both fighting for 4th place the team he plays for or the team he will be playing for

Wenger is hoping that Sanchez will enable Arsenal to challenge for the title or at least qualify for the CL. We can dismiss this as fantasy but Sanchez has to stay at the Emirates at least until January. We have to get on with the job of winning the title (and three other trophies) ourselves. If we can get him in January ..... though moves in January often don't work out, but next summer is the most likely time. The window is now closed, let's get on with the season and plan ahead.
