The rest of the country view people from Donetsk as dodgy gangsters or thieves, so there are parallels there.
Their main title rivals are Dynamo Kiev, who are the jewel in the crown of the country football wise (think Real), so potentially I can ally with their attempts to stop the favourite sons of the media.
I think there is also bad blood with Lviv as being from the far east and west of the country the two are diametrically opposed on most issues from language to industry to political leanings - again a more pro-russian/socialist outlook in Donetsk vs EU looking Lviv area may chime with Pool.

It was actually the "wax tap" monicker that reminded me of the dippers.
