Very God match report on BBC from Shamoon Hafez. Well written, informative and accurate without any snideness.

BT were a disgrace last night. Ian Darke especially. So desperate to draw attention to the underdog that he ended up just sounding a bit pissed. The way he read the scoreline out at half time was a joke.

The bloke in the studio was just as bad.

SSN's report is just as bad. Mentioned it was nervy and a 'different kind of win' ignoring the obvious fact that had we taken even a quarter of our chances it would have still won by a big margin.

That snidey snake Mark Pougatch on 5 Live had his knives out for us again last night.

Pre-game "United's 1-0 win at Southampton when you're not playing well is how you win Championships, not blowing away some team 5-0".

Post game "City are now in their seventh CL campaign and have only one Semi to show for it. What are minimum expectations for them this season?"

How to put a damper on anything we do.
Sutton and co were like this too after Palace. "It's all well and good winning 5 and 6 nil, but it's the scruffy 1-0 wins that win the league." They're talking as if we were stupid for scoring more goals and should have left it at 1-0, and then genuinely believed the rags 1-0 win was a better performance. Then Sutton started going on about how we can't win the Champions League playing the Guardiola way, and that we need to be tighter at the back. To which he was shot down when informed that Guardiola's methods clearly DO work in the Champions League (he has the medals to prove it) and that City have the joint best defence in the league anyway, and haven't conceded in the CL. Wankers.

Nothing wrong with that SSN report, the fact that we didn't take our chances made it a nervy win.

I agree about Darke, he was more and more frustrated in the second half as it became more obvious that City might win.
And Humphrey was a right prat which Lescott and Dunne just flatly refused to engage with.

BBC today in the summary box on their live updates page...

Machester City Edge Past Shakhtar Donetsk. Score 2-0.
Spurs Thump Apoel Nicosia. Score 3-0.
