Rumoured Newcastle takeover

Thought Ashley put the club for sale last week, no?

He'd reduced the asking price from £300m, to..... £280m.

Bargain.

Hope they do get a takeover, another team competing at the top can't be a bad thing.

all that is need up there with newcastle fans is the right people running the club and BINGO

I'd like to see Newcastle back amongst it at the top of the league. They've had their fair share of hardship in recent times. Passionate fans and a club with great potential. Does anyone know if Ashley sold the land behind the Gallowgate end which would prohibit a future expansion of the stand?

Doubt anything in this. She is a Liverpool fan, a friend of Rafa and her family live an hour away from Newcastle. She lives in Dubai (flight straight into Newcastle). She was socialising with Rafa after the match. Ashley is London based. Any dealings would be done down there.... just a fan watching her mates team.

I can see Ashley wanting out - that club (who he doesn’t support) has cost him millions - he didn’t do his due diligence and he bought a right bag of shite#. Sponsorship deals front loaded etc so he had to shore them up for the first few years and took a dogs abuse from the fans whilst he was doing it. I can never understand why anyone in their right mind would buy a football club. Ashley might be a twat but he’s pumped an awful lot of his own money into Newcastle and he’s got little in return. From his perspective what else could he do with that money he has tied up in the club ? Probably 101 things...

There are listed buildings behind one of the smaller stands.
