We're getting nothing but gushing praise, people just love to take issue with certain wording or phrases for no reason. As for not grabbing all and every headline, just like the match day threads on here, there's not much to say when a performance is that good. and even less so when it's been like that for 5 weeks in a row and you've already said everything there is to say. Mourinho being as negative as they come is a meatier and more interesting topic of discussion for everybody that isn't a City fan

Danny Murphy on MOTD last night was a good example of running out of praise for us. He did a bit on Jesus, he wasn't wrong with anything he said but it seemed odd and was very much a case of "we've already talked about KDB/Silva/Sterling/Sane countless times in the last few weeks so lets do a bit about the only guy left"
MOTD did seem very complimentary wrt City.

From an American's perspective, the press on this side of the pond is extremely positive with regard to City. Meanwhile, Mourinho's "park the bus" "play for a point" tactics against Pool are being highly questioned - in the face of a rampant City side, accumulating point after point and goal difference to boot, can United afford to park the bus?

Martin Jol on radio 5 live just said City are the blue print for the future of the premiership.
When Pep came over the press goaded him saying that he won't change English football because football is different here, it is "special", and your tactics don't work here. They said he needed to change HIMSELF not English football.

5-0, 6-0, 5-0, 1-0 at the Champions and 7-2 later..........

Fuck you media!!!

Just nipped on to sky sports news.... top 10 trending articles...

Klopp, Mourinho x 2or 3, Wenger, Pochitiono (sp), Conte, Lewis Hamilton Nothing about City.

No I'm asking myself, us this a good or a bad thing?

Bad in that City get no on air promotion or coverage, or good in that no City fans can be arsed to engage with the corrupt Bankers (so again)!

Trending generally means most read. I would guess most City fans gave up reading the shite Sky write about us long ago.

We're only getting what we should rightfully be getting, the media can't fail to be impressed by the brilliance we are showing, as far as they are concerned the only problem is it's the wrong Manchester team playing this supreme football.

We should enjoy it while it lasts, the only way to get the media to shut up is by consistently performing like the team and management has for the last few weeks/months.
I am sure should we draw or god forbid lose a game the knives will come out again.

I agree with this100%. The way we are playing the media have no option but to praise us, albeit through gritted teeth.

There was some prick on talksport the other day saying that guardiola was "arrogant towards the media" and said he gave the impression that journalists weren't worth his time and couldn't understand what he's trying to do. Well that's because the journalists in this country are not worth his time, and keep failing to understand that this type of football should be welcomed with open arms because it's a bloody joy to watch. They just do not want to see attacking free flowing football be winning football. Those ****s are desperate for the snide, boring, park the bus tactics of PEG to triumph so they can use the term "tactical master class" the media seem too ignorant and set in their ways to believe that pep could actually teach us a better way to play football. Majority of us just want to sit and watch good players playing good football.

What you have wriiten has absolutely no connection with reality but is a manifestation of the desperate agenda you wish to project, and others like you, of City as a plucky little underdog competing (unfairly) against a hostile media and everyone else who wishes us to fail.

Your point is even less relevant today as the papers (see oliver holt), sunday people back page headline ‘what a score (pic of City player) what a bore (pic of united), sunday supplement (Martin Samuel et al), have been disparaging of the way United have played in comparison to the brand of football City have played.

For some reason people can neither accept praise or criticism within the press.

Today all I have heard is positives about City. Comparisons to the ‘invincibles Arsenal
Side’ which is ridiculous at this early stage, how City are rewriting the blue print for football. How United playing the way they do cannot match us (after arguably a good point at Anfield). Were receiving plaudits from all corners in complete contrast to what you claim is the media ‘take’ on ours and Uniteds football.
