as someone who has watched city since the mid 70s, I think whilst he had some very good games and the odd outstanding display, a lot of the time he was overhyped, and I firmly believe a lot of his hype was built on the back of the vinny lescott cb partnership which was main reason he looked so good
just my opinion

Been watching City since the 60s and Joe Hart was for the most part brilliant for us.
He seems to have regressed in last couple of years and I wouldn't swap him for Eddie now but he saved us in many games and was a huge part of us winning trophies.
Yep it's all about opinions but in my opinion he was a great keeper.
