Burnley (H) Post Match Thread

Very tough game against a well organised and a team that is hard to beat thought we were lucky with the pen it was 50-50 and unlike other games this time we got the benifit .excellent result .
Nah, pen all day long for the attacker. If the keeper comes, he has to get the ball and not the man. You will see that he takes out Bernardo’s right foot/ankle with his own knees on MOTD.

That said, it wasn’t Stoke on a wet and windy Tuesday night, but it was pretty close...and we handily beat a team that should have enjoyed that more than us!

Only 3 goals has killed our average, but it probably should have been closer to 6-0!

Good. Job. Done.

Manures first real test next week as Spurs will go for them.

Can see them dropping more points and the dud manager will cry poor that although injuries are no excuse they have too many injuries.

I said at the start of the season Spurs and Liverpool are best placed to challenge us this year and Sane being out for two spells has hurt Liverpool more than any other injury this year although we have coped well without Mendy and VK which we will have to until January at least.

We need replacements for both and for VK longer term.

Stones MOTM. Imperious. His positioning, calmess and distribution was faultless.

Delph ran him incredibly close though. A two-footed fullback. This kid has slotted in seamlessly. Keeping Danilo out of the side.

Just watched the penalty incident with Bernardo.
Did the commentator really say that he dragged his leg into the keepers knee?
He did nothing of the sort, the goalies knee had trapped Bernardos foot under it.
It was as clear a penalty I've seen.
Great result.

Missed the game today but very happy with the result. Just keep winning lads and shut the doubters up.
