Funny, England have a number of talented players on display today at top clubs. Haven't heard that comment made about any of the others though.

Just turned the game on and had to laugh at our English keeper taking the piss placing the ball perfectly for a goal kick... even Brad Friedle would have been proud of that time wasting artistry.

what a win. we have some really talented technical players. no one can say we dont have the talent at youth. we are winning nearly everything or getting to the final. foden motm for me if he doesnt make it at city no one will

Not sure how long he has on his deal, but give Foden a 10 year contract. I want him forever.

It's only City that spends all its time thwarting young players, you can see that on the EDS forum from some of our own.

The thing about the young players is that it is hard for them to make it at City, it's bound to be. The quality of the first team is so high that a youth footballer has to be seriously talented to break through, and there aren't many of those. It's the same at Chelsea - lots of these players go on to have good careers at a slightly lower level without being quite good enough for the first team at the very best clubs.

The problem is that this isn't the point that gets made. And that's annoying.
