Sterling Penalty - Wenger will face no charge for his comments.

Never Wenger's fault when they get beat, is it? Surely that has to be a worrying trend for Arsenal fans?

I truly hope the FA investigate this. If Sterling had dived I'd be amongst the first to say cut it out and teach him a lesson, especially after years of watching bird poo gob over the road.

But I don't think there is any way to prove sterling dives in this incident, there is certainly contact and the referee isn't looking to be made a big of at the end of the day.

I think therefore Wenger's comments are heat of the moment and born out of frustration at not winning, possibly also by the third goal looking offside and perceiving to decision to have taken the game away from them rather than pure footballing ability, but what Wenger fails to acknowledge is that they have an effect on a young guy, on those around him, and those officiating him potentially. For that he needs to be dragged before the FA and asked to explain, then punished accordingly.

Plus, also have to wonder why on earth Arsenal were linked with Rahmeen earlier this year, if Wenger has such a low opinion of him. Clearly the story was rubbish pushed out by a Gunner's mouthpieces and we'd never entertain selling him to Arsenal in such a situation, but happily it only makes Wenger come out of this looking like an idiot, scrambling to survive and blaming everyone else for his shortcomings.

Bart Wenger

They got a very dodgey goal at Burnley to get a result offdide and handball .he doesnt mention that .he we had our scoring boots on it would have been 4-0 at half time

He lost the plot years ago, hope he stays for a few years yet.
The long winter coats and the tight cardigans.

Pep should've mentioned the tug on Sterling by Kosceilny, as he ran into the box to get on the end of Sané's cross, that, if Sterling had gone down, thrown his hands up, might well have given us a penalty.
Why rest players for the game, then keep your best striker on the bench?
After Arsenal's bore draw midweek, it was obvious he was trying to save his players for this fixture, yet after City's travels away to Naples, and clearly only in 2nd gear, City were well deserved winners.
Wenger has only his own inadequacies to blame, why play Sanchez who clearly doesn't want to be there over Lacazette ?

Just watched MotD2, fair play to Wright and Shearer for their comments, telling Wenger he is wrong and saying it's is inexcusable to accuse a guy like that and that he owes sterling an apology. He does.

First one also was a penalty but not given, could be been a red too in the circumstances. But pleased to say we are now in a position where we are not reliant on referree's decision to win us games. We've always got more in us, good time for a break though as the lads have been giving it everything daily, and have to again once they return.

Club have got to step up and defend our player. City have to make an official complaint.

Regardless of whether or not people think it's a penalty the one thing it absolutely isn't is a dive. The biggest problem at Arsenal is a lack of accountability from the very top to the very bottom.
