Phil Foden - 2017/18 performances

Seems like he has stuck a good friendship with Bernardo in some of the City videos.
Looking forward to seeing both start on Tuesday.
Considering the hype he is surrounded by and having to deal with,he seems very likeable and grounded,i'd imagine he's incredibly popular with all our players/staff.

Just great to see him involved.

He isn't really doing anything when he comes on, but he's getting the minutes to get used to the pace & intensity & as he settles, he'll suddenly start producing stuff.

It's difficult to give a rating or analysis on his performance when he only gets <10 mins on the seldom chances he gets in the league.

It's all he needs for now.

It gets him over the initial jitters of being in the bigtime & he will settle down as he goes along.

It also sends out a message to others, that there is a pathway from City's academy to the first team, which we have been desperately in need of showing, before everybody walks out.

Sancho will now be wondering if he made the right move.

Bet he’s gutted he didn’t leave like Sancho.

Got more minutes than him at Dortmund and Sancho could have had game time too when Sterling or Sane need a rest or if they get an injury. He could have had league cup games too to impress and if he took his chance would be part of the first team.

The thing now you do need to be top drawer talent to break through and you need to take your chances when you get them. I think Foden, Sancho and Brahim all were but Sancho at barely 17 wouldn't show any patience.

Foden will keep getting more and more game time and grow into the first team rather than a big bang. he must start on Tuesday and get some more minutes over the congested Christmas calendar - right now I wish we had a game every day. Happy days.

Thought he didn't look out of place yesterday. Moved and passed the ball well. Put a dangerous cross into the box. Well done young Foden.

Must start against Leicester and if he plays well there he'll have a full Premier League debut before the season is out.
