VAR (PL introduction 2019)

Wonder how many of you slagging off VAR would give the slightest fuck if it benefited City in a big game.

It gets the decisions right. That's the main thing. Just needs fine tuning. Takes too long and too much disconnect with fans inside the stadium.
couldn't give a fuck if it helped city. Its wank

Pat Nevin and Alan Green are loving this.....

It's meant ot be assisted, right?

Well who makes the call when the referee's judgement is called into question? Is it meant for every single decision? Used to add time on?

Like tennis it should be three challenges. Otherwise it'll be throw in, VAR, corner, VAR, tackle, VAR, pass VAR. At the moment it's being called into question for every goal being scored, killing the moment. Imagine VAR after Agueroooooo. What are the conditions for VAR being used?

As with most issues with the officials inconsistency is the main problem.

It needs to be used sparingly to correct obvious mistakes.

Tonight highlights how refs can be influenced by the crowd and players. Play should be continued and pulled back if the VAR sees a problem with the decision made. Not for the ref to over rule or check.. if it is unclear it goes with the original decision.

I don’t get people saying fuck it off. If we’re playing in a cup final against the rags and they score an offside goal and it stands you’d be raging. VAR would clear it up

Or the ref would totally ignore it and carry on ;-) as by username.
