And let's not forget Jesus' injury wasn't an accident
he will be out 4 or 5 weeks...... 6 or 7 sounds better at the moment while we are laying it thick on the idiot who tackled him.
he is young, he will recover quicker than expected.
but we must go to town on what ever we can though for that tackle, it is a disgrace, the referee lost the situation to. The game cant carry on like that because if lower teams see it fit to play like this against skillfull teams we wont have any skill left !!
Not seen any criticism of Lee incompetent Mason in the media. That fraud just drifts along putting in one bad performance after another but still gets allocated high profile games. Must be well in with Mike the pen Riley.
He was poorly placed to see the actual incident as it occurred.
We can cry all we like but bad tackles have been and always will be part of the game.
We have had referees for as long as we have had football, and we have always had bad tackles. What's intent, and what's just a mis-timed tackle? A referee can't fix human frailty or red mist.No they aren't. They are fouls, against the rules, outlawed, proscribed and penalised. They would NOT be part of the game if we had competent referees who dealt with them as the authorities are supposed to wish. Lee Mason did the usual City trick and failed to book the first bad tackle on Gundogan, let other horrors go and then booked Ferna for arms round the chest and finally chickened out when Sanae was done, thus leaving Bennett to have one final go at Diaz.
But a referee can put a stamp on the game and ensure some order. Mason's abject failure to do that on Sunday resulted in further injury as the Cardiff players thought they could foul with impunity as it wasnt addressedWe have had referees for as long as we have had football, and we have always had bad tackles. I think there should be retrospective action for players who commit such fouls and get away with it during the game. That might reduce the number of bad challenges.

Absolutely. This "ref saw it and took action (i.e. yellow card) and therefore nothing can be done, is quite the most ridiculous rule.We have had referees for as long as we have had football, and we have always had bad tackles.
