Riyad Mahrez

Liverpool definitely have an inferiority complex, they were offended by suggestions they might take Joe Hart and or Clichy. They would never have touched Willy because if these players are not good enough for City, why would they want them etc. However Chelsea had no issues signing Willy.

Liverpool put out a statement they were not interested in Mahrez.....I bet they will break the bank in the summer for Mahrez because we are in for him.

15,000% inflation?

Leicester are justifying this because of the ridiculous Coutinho and VVD fee. Both way too high and contingent on one another. Liverpool will face the consequences of that and will rightly be expected to pay huge for Mahrez.

We have always done this sensibly. Buying at appropriate prices not looney prices just because we can because in the end you just pay more and more every time.

To a degree that is inevitable if someone always will pay, but if we stick to our structure clubs like Leicester will not keep expecting from us what we will not do.

But do it once and it will become our norm.

He’s especially worried that the Zimbabwean super clubs may enter the transfer market in the summer.

Well we have paid a lot less for a comparable defender to VVD. In fact early days but so far a better one.

Had we paid £75 million for him then the next one would be more. It is what is happening with these absurd prices and why we are right to take a stand to try to stop it.

Leicester complained about how much they will have to pay to replace Mahrez but the more they ask for him the more they will be asked for whoever they go to then because they know they have the dosh.

It is a rising spiral once you get onto it and we are trying to act sensibly.

We broke our record by a tiny amount and would have done so again by a few thousand for Mahrez.

But if we had given £20,000 on top of our record say then that would be the expectation next time round.

It was a joke about your saying the transfer fee could go from 100 (quid) to 150 million if we gave in—we knew what you meant but the way it was written made it an easy target.

It's fine if we do the scouting for our rivals, because, where our plans are meticulous and planned over a long period, our rivals will jump in and take these players because "they are oranges that are ready to be picked" or whatever. But they don't actually know where player fits in their system.

Sanchez might yet work out for the Rags but for now he has definitely unbalanced their midfield, which is great to see. Push Pogba back and give him more defensive duties? ha ha ha, hilarious. Lol.

Stretford Shitehawks will give Leicester £250 million for him this coming summer.
More like the £95m Leicester were asking for with the remaining £155m going to Mahrez' agent in return for convincing the player to go there.
