Gave our base to a bloke with a wood burner fire and folded the mattress in half tied it up and put it in the back of our small hatchback

Dunno mate, but I think a sharp knife would be far more efficient for slicing off testicles.

there must be houses somewhere nearby that have gardens - or at the last minute lob it outside and say its only there temporarily as the council are coming to collect it - just don't call the council - then somebody there will follow one of the sets instructions on here and get rid for you..................

Perhaps you could post some pictures of said mattres on here to try and generate a sale. Drape a crumpled city tracky top in one corner to really stimulate the market, sit back and watch the bidding war commence.

Thanks everyone. paying £40 quid to have it removed. Waited at the tip and the 2nd person with a van that I asked shifted it.
